Greetings, South Central Region Zeta Family and Guests!
I am delighted to greet you as your newly appointed Regional Director. Grand Underwood has appointed a wonderful group of Zeta women to comprise the
Regional Leadership Team. They are:
| |
Soror Vivian Marvray- Alabama State Director
Soror Patricia Johnson – Arkansas State Director
Soror Barnie (B. A.) McGee – Mississippi State Director
Soror Ernestine Wilson – Tennessee State Director |
Together, we pledge to always strive to ensure the South Central Region continues to advance in Zeta as a region to be acknowledged in all major decisions. We only request that you join us in this effort by remaining focused on “Continuing the Zeta Legacy of Service” in our communities. As we begin activities for this sorority year, remember the first requirement for all of us is to submit our dues and assessments in on time (local, state, regional and national). It is only by remaining active can you have a voice. So I charge each of you to make sure to contact at least one Zeta sister to remind her of the October 31 deadline. Check out the new SCR website! www.southcentralzetas.org
Now that the Regional website has been activated; please assign at least one chapter member to check it at least weekly. Also, please send member news, so we can all celebrate a Zeta’s accomplishments. Take special note of the many opportunities for Zeta service at the Regional level. If you see yourself in one of the available positions, please email me and tell me why you are the “Sister for the job”.
I look forward to meeting more of you as I visit the State Leadership Conferences and respond to your invitations as my schedule allows. Please join me in extending a “Zeta Sisterly Thank-You” to the previous Regional Leadership for their service to the Region. We thank you for your assistance in making the leadership transitions a memorable experience.
Please feel free to contact me at: SouthCentralRD@southcentralzetas.org. There is much to do as we continue implementing our national programs, Z-HOPE and Stork’s Nest as we await the Grand’s Initiative…. So Sisters, Amicae and Youth…Let’s get busy!
Sisterly,
Soror Constance Smith Hendricks, PhD, RN
